Lucy-May's next adventure: 'Shaping futures with Schwarzkopf'
We're proud to announce that our Colour Master Lucy-May is off to the Philippines for two weeks in April with Schwarzkopf for their Charity Training Academy. Lucy-May will be using her expertise to teach disadvantaged young adults to help unlock their potential in hairdressing with the hope of enabling them to be self sufficient and change their lives.
Shaping Futures evolved into a global initiative in 2010 when Schwarzkopf Professional partnered with SOS Children's Villages – a leading non-profit organisation. Since then, they have helped over 2800 young adults in 33 countries, towards a brighter future.
The placement starts with training the foundations in all basic hairdressing. Techniques including, consultation, cutting and colouring. Finishing with a graduation to recognise their achievements and successes. They then work with local salons, who place every student into full time employment providing long term security - Shaping their future!
